since some of us can only use 1.2.0 of this component, this bug lingers on there too.

thanks @hoborm. i had to do the same. 1.2.0 with @noxhirsch's patch is perfect - except no ble notifications so when moving desk manually HA doesn't know its height.

having the same issue as the above user and other's in the tracker. it seems that the firmware on the latest controller have new service and characteristic UUIDs? check this...

was able to perfectly control the desk using https://github.com/rhyst/idasen-controller on my mac. so it is something do with ESPHome or ESP32 or this project

@j5lien update: works with version 1.2.0 - the one before you moved to esphome's ble_client! :) esphome's ble_client isn't doing its job properly. please either figure out the issue there...
