I just finished The Book and gave this a try. I'll share my snippet here, probably not an ideal implementation, but it works with book's solution. I hope it helps...

I replaced PhantomJS by [Nightmare](http://www.nightmarejs.org/) thanks to [this guy](https://github.com/bokuweb/karma-nightmare) and after that many of my problems are gone.
