Yes, this is a feature I am looking for. VS Code markmap plugin has this, too.
I also have trouble with it. Using JupyterLab v3.5.2, Console Error `Error: No version of module jupyter-matplotlib is registered`
So now its working for me (Ubuntu 20.04). I am not sure what was wrong, although I had `jupyter` and `jupyterlab` installed. I uninstalled both, and also the accompanying packages...
Would be awesome, if it could update without editing the file first :)
