For gfortran issues (especially after updating to new MacOS version) You should also add to ~/.R/Makevars these lines: FC = /usr/local/opt/gcc/bin/gfortran F77 = /usr/local/opt/gcc/bin/gfortran FLIBS = -L/usr/local/opt/gcc/lib More details are...
