Which version of clang++ are you using? Mine is the following: clang++ -v Apple LLVM version 6.0 (clang-600.0.54) (based on LLVM 3.5svn) Target: x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0 Thread model: posix
My OSX is Mac OSX 10.9.5. Same version of R as you have. I just did an install and it compiled fine. Can you update your clang++ and try again.
