This is effectively the same as #185, but for the direct dependency instead of just the transient dependency on gjson.

@haeli05: that's more of an appearance or styling thing that probably isn't in the scope of this project. For the browser, you can try a [blinking animation](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13955163/imitating-a-blink-tag-with-css3-animations) with an element.

Furthermore, [Section 5.5.1 in the RFC](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6455#section-5.5.1) requires that the TCP connection is closed after the WebSocket connection is closed, so it would not be possible to reuse that TCP connection.
