Category parent/child relations borked on install

I found this today, basically a chunk's folders/categories is setup like this: /category/subcategory/chunkname1/ /category/subcategory/chunkname2/ /category/subcategory/chunkname3/ /category/subcategory/subsubcategory/chunkname4/ /category/chunkname5/ /category/chunkname6/ when the theme package is installed the /subcategory/ folders are not copied...

How do I add my .htaccess?

How about using a Static Resources to generate a .htaccess file and including the Resource in the package?

Parent is "0" when not set on update

I agree, re-entering all the parent IDs on an "update" is quite time consuming; it would be good if the plugin can maintain parent IDs if that value is not...
