FYI, the same issue is happening for me in Ubuntu 22.04. Removing the cards helped. Converting (using convert) the cards did not help.
Just when I found it ... For now I will continue getting into it both in the estimation that it is already a great open source project and that maybe...
I wasn't aware of the frontend reload. `CTRL-R` does work as well.
