Weird, it works fine for me on Arch (with AwesomeWM) and setting the compose key with ``` setxkbmap -option compose:rctrl ``` I'll probably set up Gnome and try to replicate...

For whatever reason, I can't get the compose key to work with Zutty *at all* in Gnome... Pressing `Compose+' e` sends `\xe9` in Zutty but works fine in other applications....
