I am aware of such [downstream use cases](https://github.com/dbmi-pitt/hades_proxy_manager/blob/d931c14b7048d11bc7ff7cea4a1df1b457fe4fcf/src/routers/proxy.py#L10-L35), so we cannot deprecate the `path` parameter, which can allow us to add a dynamic path prefix.
