To make it worse, installation of ZLS is much slower than Zig itself on my host. I have to reinstall Zig before trying ZLS, just to see it timeout and...

Can't use in JetBrains IDE, either, probably due to the naming. But I can cope with this because I mainly use Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
I wonder why this proposal is still awaiting approval. It doesn't seem to incur any harm to the standard library.
It's hard to see a use case where we have so many elements in use simultaneously. Maybe segments (chunks) could be a better solution, as the Parquet format does.
