With Menu open/expanded it looks fine  With the menu collapsed/closed it makes everything unusable  I suggest working with the menu state and either hiding the elements when collapsed...

Like this feature from @chadteck and it should be simple to merge as the changes happen in the area that hasn't been modified so far.
