No reason this can't be done. I wouldn't look for it before version 2, though.
This is not going to make it in for 1.1.0. Probably needs to be tied in with #15.
The entire Trophy system is being overhauled at the moment, which should fix this and myriad other trophy-related bugs.
Removing this from Milestone 1.1.0. New Hangouts can be added by activating the Portal Stone a second time, which is sufficient for now.
