Tooloop OS is a minimal installation of Ubuntu Server with some post-install customization to fit the needs of public multimedia installations.

It's a constant write access to the harddrive and only really needed if integrated in some automation system. It should be a conscious decision to turn it on.
The Ubuntu release is [scheduled](https://ubuntu.com/about/release-cycle) at April 2024
Would be nice, if Windows users could manage files just as with AFP on the Mac. Probably using SMB. Would also be nice if this wouldn’t depend an Avahi/Bonjour.
