Hi there, unfortunately nanogui seems to only detect HDR capability (and, I suppose, support it) on Apple / Metal. See ```cpp std::pair test_10bit_edr_support() { #if defined(NANOGUI_USE_METAL) return metal_10bit_edr_support(); #else return...
Hi there, OpenEXR images allow you to specify a separate "display window" and "data window". If you store your crop such that the display window matches the original image and...
Hi Olivier, this is already being tracked on the __nanogui__ end here: https://github.com/mitsuba-renderer/nanogui/issues/102 Cheers!
Hi Olivier, this seems to be a fundamental limitation w.r.t. texture size -- not much to be done by __tev__ / __nanogui__ other than detecting such cases and breaking the...
Hi Wenzel, I can't reproduce the issue on my macbook, unfortunately -- the pixels just keep getting brighter and eventually saturate to white. The attached screen recording is representative of...
Before I start digging deeper into __tev__, could you check whether the same overflow occurs when cranking the brightness in one of the nanogui samples? Thanks!
Heh, no hurry (and a successful crunch!). Another thought: if the overflow indeed happens at reasonably large values (e.g. an eye-searing 64k), I'm happy to add clamping in any case...
Thanks for checking! 64 seems rather low, to be honest, but still a factor of ~4 above what my highest dynamic range display (the laptop) can output. So... I doubt...
Ouch, I must have force pushed onto the submodule at some point… good lesson to never do that again in the future. Sorry about breaking bisect. In any case: thanks...
Wow, thanks a bunch for the detailed investigation! My best guess is a regression in the MSVC runtime and/or STL that wasn't there yet when I built the v1.17 release....
