Ah, I see. If you set it using that and close the sheet then remove the effect it doesn't go back to the previous setting. Worth looking at I guess.
Maybe it would be more sensible to set the half level roll option with a RollOption RE on the feat itself rather than doing it for all actors?
The system already handles improvised as well as the negation of the improvised penalty. So this is a very similar thing.
