I can't speak to this, as I don't use virtual box, if virtual box uses a OPENVZ style setup then the kernel is shared and loopbacks might not be possible.

Ubuntu is not current supported, it's as the docs state "Ubuntu repository (Yakkety/Zesty only since no rpi support before that and currently rpi2 only)"

oh I have no idea using windows. I can't even try to support that, I have no windows machines around at all to even attempt to try to fix it....
the pi need to boot twice for ssh to work, and it should do it on it's own, first boot creates the keys, keys aren't created cause every device needs...
do you really need bash in there? can't just call sudo /usr/bin/wifi-cfg ?
looks like a problem in the Raspbian repo, I'm guessing they are working on it, I'd say keep trying. I'll also look at it deeper see if I can see...
very odd I put in a fix for this exact bug, I'll try retesting it.
thanks for reporting this, are you sure there wasn't an error before this during the download of the asc? It looks like I need to put a verification the file...
