I think that the chances of getting support for the original CycloDS are pretty much zero. It's likely that it doesn't have a rewriteable flash since that wasn't required back...

He's using the "3DS Card" for 3DS games. They are not supported as far as I know.
@jason0597 Maybe color of the shell or the "3DS Card" printed on the PCB above the contacts. Back then r4ids.cn DS cards had a different PCB (revision "C").
The GEi uses YSMenu as main kernel. The later "plus" variant also has some wood/akaio like kernel (says "gei + v2.1" as version).
