Bumping this. I'm sure someone from the core team could point us on the correct path. And why `EditorState.createEmpty()` is not the right thing to use to clear an input?

By simply looking at the [migration](https://github.com/spree-contrib/spree_wishlist/blob/master/db/migrate/20091020182940_create_wishlists.rb), you can pretty much answer your own questions.
