I'd like to bump this issue, as it's still something I'm dealing with 2 years later. My suggestion above still stands as the solution I think is most appropriate.

For Twitter, a user's media would also be good to have. Especially when following an artist, where you only want to see their artwork.

Instagram would also be a great addition. But would most likely require a custom parser.

Pictures of all the themes should be added to the README, to make it more inviting for new people. Not buried in an issue thread.
