Issue ticket from last year for compatibility between hide comments and better comments, it doesn't seem like he plans on adding support considering it's been 9 months. https://github.com/estruyf/vscode-hide-comments/issues/14
I love having detailed and color-coded comments, but sometimes you just want to see the code by itself, hence a toggle to change"hide" them by changing the opacity.
