@adamjstewart this package was removed by you due to obsolete python dependency. In this PR I've recreated it from scratch. Is this ok, or else is there a better way...
For some reason, the package build is failing. I built it many times before. i need to sort that out.
looks like you just need to add a dependency: openexr: please see: https://spack.readthedocs.io/en/latest/build_systems/cmakepackage.html and https://github.com/spack/spack/tree/develop/var/spack/repos/builtin/packages/openexr This should be a quick fix. hope this helps.
actually, dependency is already indicated in the packagefile: https://github.com/spack/spack/blob/develop/var/spack/repos/builtin/packages/openimageio/package.py I guess the package isn't able to automatically find the dependency anymore. This might happen due to changes in cmake, python,...
