When saving a layer that was previously assigned to a currently missing device, that LED assignment will be gone when the device does load again at a later time.

Add the ability to export the default empty/generated layout to XML

I thought that was already how it works but it should be made clear that the _transformed shape_ is confined to the _layer LED selection_

To make sure using devices without layouts (or with layouts missing images) is isn't super confusing, we need good default images. Aureshion on Discord offered to look into this 👍...

A mode that cycles through a set of values each time a data model event fires

Create some sort of diagnostics report, perhaps in JSON, to aid in debugging.
