Every once in a while it will refresh out from under me. No clear indication of why. Wish I could provide more.
Maybe consider making press-hold on profile icon options different from menu ... options.

I was able to reproduce it as well by just liking or reblogging a post, then quickly returning to scrolling. It's like the action processing in the background takes resources...
