With kernel 5.17, this doesn't look like a Steam issue, but a problem with the linux kernel. Connecting the controller with USB and having the 'S' setting shows several errors...
Thanks, unloading hid_nintendo did the trick! e.g. with `rmmod hid_nintendo` The controller is working fine in Switch mode now.
@aufkrawall May be complete nonsense, but did you also check Windows+vkd3d-proton and with/without direct storage on Windows?

This game/collection finally works for me out of the box without any tweaks on proton 6.3-5. The launcher works fine and both remastered campaigns work. There is a looping sound...

There seems to be a `race condition in the driver when submitting concurrently to different VkQueues`. This has nothing to do with DX12 and depends on how DXVK handles VkQueue...
