Failed to validate length and email format constarint

I am trying to use below assert but its not working for me . @assert(condition: ".length() < 55 && .matches(\"\\^[A-Z0-9+_.-]+@[A-Z0-9.-]\\$\")") Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong.? It compiles...
