As another possible name: **"protected mode"** or "protected page" (or just **protected**) - "read-only" is too technical - "locked" has the association "locked away" so you can (should) no longer...
Looking into this, haven't yet figured out *how* to do this.
mod+shift+c is not free (Toggle Contents in sidebar), `mod+shift+I` is what I settled on
