Same problem. Two monitors. Ubuntu 22.04. Hydrapaper not working in XORG nor in Wayland.
From what I understand the problem is in GNOME Tweaks which doesn't recognize the Hydrapaper image automatically. Hydrapaper produces the image and it stays in .cache/hydrapaper but Tweaks doesn't apply...
