It tried minimize and hide. It seems hide is better for avoiding the white flash. When I use hide, edge stops flashing but explorer still flashes. I'm not sure why...
I'm in the same boat. Can't figure out exactly how to use the tool. I wish there was a wiki or a step by step that was easy to follow....
Also, will the web ui show the updated versions? Mine is showing I have version 3.0 but I should have 3.1 i believe.. 
This is my biggest request as well. I always use 2 to 3 monitors and It's a pain to have to use the mouse all the time.
This is unfortunate. In the meantime, you all can go with https://github.com/MonitorControl/MonitorControl . It seems to be working fine with 3+ and duplicate displays for me.
