regarding the unix crash course / Variables and For loops / "grep -w -A 1 ">9" genes.faa" grep with -w doesn't detect only whitespace but any "non-word constituent character" so...

Clean is a dependency of fclean both in the main makefile, and in the libraries makefiles. Such that each sub-clean recipe was ran twice, and each sub-makefile was opened twice....
