Thanks for your reply. I tried just installing from the script without sudo, but that didn't work even the first time.  I should probably just upgrade to the latest...

Eh, fine. As long as it doesn't get too complicated on my end.  FYI I had to reboot, so if some of that information was temporary, might be missing.
