Unfortunately, that is correct. If you request scopes that google considers trustworthy (everything that is fitness) you have to go through this. We are currently going through the process ourselves...
We got approved for HealthConnect in 5 days. And it's really easy, just fill out the google from and wait, nothing compared to the old process with oauth...
We did the same, we're currently using the old plugin and going through the CASA process. We have a second branch with updated plugin.
I have the same problem with an x-touch mini Setting up different binding does not help. The problem seems that the x-touch sends NoteOff after i released the button overwirting...

Some update: triggering on note_off for mute/unmute will fix this issue, since obs sends the note_on after i release the button "note_off"
Any news on this? I'm facing the same problem
