So... Apperantly it doesn't cost much power, world generation is maybe 1 second slower than before, but i can live with it :D 
Should be fixed in the latest version, at least for me. There is no reason to me why older versions should get bug fixes though

Also you shouldn't be scared of broken links, the colores are just visual, minecraft converts it into colors so links still work...
