Did other software users get used more to the possibility to set a variable like “`BIRTCLASSPATH`” explicitly?
I would like to achieve that some output files can be generated (according to selected reports) also by provided command-line interfaces. :crystal_ball: How will the run time characteristics evolve further...
I examined the mentioned scripts to some degree. :crystal_ball: Some issues are still waiting on corresponding improvements according to selected software runtime variants, aren't they?
The mentioned adjustment desire is well-known from other application domains. Examples: * [HTML colspan attribute](https://www.tutorialspoint.com/html-colspan-attribute "Documentation for HTML") * [Merging table cells](https://help.libreoffice.org/7.3/en-GB/text/scalc/guide/table_cellmerge.html "Documentation for LibreOffice Calc")
>You can do this by selecting adjacent in the cells and choose "merge cells" from the context menu. * I guess that this functionality depends on the safe selection of...
>For complex objects (I mean: not scalar) it should possible to create a patch that displays the class of the object and (if it's a Java object) its toString() value....
I am referring to query result previews for such questionable software behaviour so that other open issues with report layout settings do not distract from more desirable solution ideas.
>What exactly would you _expect_ to display for "contributor" - Further helpful information. >the whole XML subtree? Yes. (For the data with which I am fiddling at the moment.) >Pretty-printed?...
I am curious how [report designs will evolve further](https://github.com/eclipse/birt/discussions/975 "Adding computed values as grouping information with BIRT Designer 2022-03 (4.23)") also together with requested software extensions.
Direct communication (as it happened a moment ago) can trigger further desirable effects.
