I got the same error, please keep me updated if you find the solution.

Errors when running `skip checkup` if java version > 17

I found the solution, I had a newer version of JDK installed. Follow [this](https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/webnotes/install/mac/mac-jdk.html#uninstall) documentation to uninstall your current version if it is above 17 or simply install version 17.
