Having same problem on ubuntu, I can also type after clicking once in the textbox.
Happened with me on Ubuntu 22.04LTS too
.mcworld files are zip files which should be extracted and the folder containing the world files should be placed in the "worlds" folder, not the .mcworld file.
Same question, I'm on linux too, and can't compile properly :(
