@thomascmost - I am working on a similar issue now, I haven't tested by putting 'dnd-nodrag' directly on an input but can confirm that if each input has a parent...

Guessing this is the same error I'm seeing today in 2018.. Screenshot attached, I didn't bother to look into it as I wasn't even able to see it work so...
Rookie mistake here, Atom has increased the version to 1.13.0 and obviously changed a few things. Check your version folks.
