We just upgraded our application to .NET 8 from .NET 6 and now we have this problem too. The difference for us is, we were using a second UI thread...
Just stating my presence. I'm a designer/developer who was actually considering starting a project that would have been extremely similar to this one, until someone pointed out this project's existence.
