I've made the menu controls x/y mutually exclusive which should help with menu navigation. You shouldn't actually need to redefine anything though... I'm not sure why movement wouldn't be working...

If you goto the joystick menu, you should be able to set the touchpad function to "none".
I've added a console var in the new version "openvr_kill_momentum" that will cancel any velocity when you release the move controls. Can you see if that helps?
