Any news on this one? I would be great to have this. My setup is [Astro Starlight](https://starlight.astro.build) which uses MDX under the hood and I added a remark plugin [remark-mermaidjs](https://www.npmjs.com/package/remark-mermaidjs)....
Also encountered this issue with `pnpm`. Luckily I was able to temporary fix it by adding empty `pacakge-lock.json` in the folder.

@freben I like the idea of "alternative form" which would solve the problem but didn't require any groundbreaking changes. I like format where `ref` is supplied as a query string....

Yeah, this issue is still there. `Trail` construct still doesn't work for multi account-multi region setup. For example issue with SNS described here: https://github.com/aws/aws-cdk/issues/9013#issuecomment-714827297
Maybe try classic SNS topic, not FIFO @peterwoodworth. Classic SNS topic worked for me.
