Attempting similar updates with an Item or Journal produces the same error. Presumably any other document which can be organized in folders as well, but I haven't exhaustively tested.

Looks like the sanitization code in `generateItemID` will strip out the `ä`, so seems likely to me. My question then is, how does that ID work on the Comp/Con end...
That looks more reasonable, but I think we can still improve this. A dialog report showing which items couldn't be found during import would be better than temporary notification bars.
