attempted this change and still getting blank messages :-( Currently just removed the pfc_make_hyperlink call from the get message command and things all work except the auto hyperlinking.

Had this same issue....changed layout from "fitColumns" to "fitData" and it's faster and cannot reproduce the infinite loop. Can reproduce easily with "fitColumns" and zoom set to anything but 100%.
