Can't begin mouse

Same problem. I get the mouse hooked up, upload the code, and then Bam! Nothing happens. Open the serial monitor, it says "Setup..." and never does a thing more.

The fellow who wrote the library told me he's stopped supporting it for some time. Apparently it only works with early versions of the IDE... Which I use by default....

It No Workie! The code gets stuck trying to initialize the mouse... And does nothing!!

I'm running 1.0.6 on my mac and 1.8.1 on my desktop. Neither work. Should I try an older version still? Or, do you know of any other, similar libraries that...
