Judging from the way you're using the `require` statement, it seems like this might be an issue with your Browserify config. Enabling the [fullPaths option](https://github.com/substack/node-browserify#browserifyfiles--opts) would probably help!
Getting this same error - VSCode installed on Windows and accessing another machine using the Remote-SSH package. Version 2.7 of the extension is installed on the target machine.
