It seems like this issue persists to current versions of the application and occurs when the un-uploaded photo roll exceeds the currently available disk space on the device.
I have gone with the GPL v3 for now, but I'm considering the less-restrictive LGPL since it is more of a framework. Using it for anything cool?

this is a great idea and I think a solution perfectly suited to fakeDNS. I'll call the behavior of generating rules on the fly from a DNS request the "automangler"...
