I have the same issue and don't know how to solve it. I stuck here more than 2 hours.
I got the solution: don't use USB2.0. I plugged my USB wifi adapter to USB3.0 and boom, the problem was solved.

@thudugala Can you test the weekly notification? when the weekly notification pops up and it is clicked, nothing happened. It should navigate to the weeklytips page.
