Fabric Loader not visible on launcher when running with Windows Vista compatibility

So, i ran MC launcher with compat for windows vista. (basically it gives you old UI which i like) Anyways. once i had done that fabric loader would not show...

When i get a sculpting tool or any other kind, i can open but not close the menu. i dont know why. no key works and i can only alt+f4...

Is there an ETA for a 1.16.5 update? me and many others have been waiting for a long time. I dont know if the mod is abandoned as there hasnt...
