Doing this on my Asus C202sa caused it to start booting to a blank screen with only an underline. I was able to switch to vts, but it changes back...
I had this issue too, try fully restarting steam (quit it from the taskbar icon or task manager)
Nevermind, clearing the cache doesn't seem to actually work - I have to delete all of the songs in the playlist and then re-download them, which is unacceptable
Deleting and re-downloading (which only removes downloads that aren't downloaded by being part of anything else downloaded, like another album or playlist) works but the list of playlists is not...

alright japanese characters and emoji should now render properly in the hud
it is an ancient relic that affects song start time by about a quarter of a microsecond on most machines. too silly to remove imo
