I don't remember which bug this solves exactly, but judging from the code it should solve a bug where surface mode both would not generate any surface geometry in case...

+1 I get the same error message when I try to open the app image on my Ubuntu 22.04 boot.

Downloading and running the `Ultimaker-Cura-5.1.0-linux-modern.AppImage` instead of the `Ultimaker-Cura-5.1.0-linux.AppImage` solved that last error for me.

Yeah it seems the whole problem is circumvented when I just enable bridge settings. Why is it even an option to leave the bridge settings disabled?

So CURA-6042 would solve this bug. Would be great to have it implemented then!

When you consider one layer of skin then in between the extrusion lines there are lines along which less material is deposited. When considering two layers then those lines intersect...
