Yeah, i have the same issue, really annoying sometimes, for me only a problem this, if my monitor going to blank, and after wake up i have extra spacing, only...
But pls disable caps lock
I have the exact same issue with iPad7,12 ipados 15.6 RC, i will update to 15.7 release to test it with that version as well
Tested with 15.7, same issue
 With 15.7 i get a different issue, i dont get any panic output, but the boot process is freezes totally (so basically a panic)

Downgrade to 15.6RC1 then delayota to 16.1.2
